We are seeking graduates who are adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to contribute across a variety of civil projects. As a graduate you will work in a collaborative work environment, applying your engineering skills to clients and projects across the UK.

About Your Role
You will be part of one of our specialist civil teams covering bridges, airport planning, airfield engineering, maritime engineering, asset management, and pavements. Each team offers hands‑on experience, early responsibility, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration on projects of all scales.
Project Highlights
* Bridges: A9 Dualling Specimen Design, A83 Rest and Be Thankful, M8 Woodside Viaducts, A5 Western Transport Corridor, Southern Link Road (CSLR), Tyne Bridge refurbishment, Thelwall Viaduct, HS2 Old Oak Common, Euston Stations, Old Street Underground Station redevelopment, Network Rail Civil Assessment Framework, Brent Cross TfL Structures Project
* Maritime Engineering: Barking Waste Transfer Station, Future Port Talbot, UK Ports Inspection and Rehabilitation
* Pavement Engineering: Bristol Port, National Highways, DIO MOD HS2 Old Oak Common Lane, aircraft arrestor systems, offshore wind assembly port for 2500T cranes, National Highways SDF projects, local authority projects
* Airfield Engineering: Stansted Terminal expansion, Gatwick Pier 6 extension, Heathrow control point, runway extensions and airside upgrades in Iceland
* Airport Planning & Advisory: Leeds Bradford Airport Strategic Study, Copenhagen Airport Master Plan, Almaty Airport Technical Advisory, Dubai World Central Airport Phase II, Airport Master Plans and Competitions in Saudi Arabia
Team Areas
Bridge Engineering
Support experienced colleagues on structural inspection, assessment, design, strengthening, repair, asset management and project management.
* Bridge inspections using specialist access provision (pontoons, gantries, mobile platforms, confined space entry)
* Site visit organisation and structural design/assessment
* Asset management – design of structural repairs
* Structural bridge assessment calculations
* Supervision of contractors and project management
* Business development and tendering
Aviation – Airport Planning & Advisory
Deliver high‑quality airport planning and advisory services in the UK and internationally.
* Technical delivery of planning tasks, capacity analysis, airside and terminal modelling, sustainability advice
* Bid preparation and research on emerging markets such as sustainable aviation fuels and AAM/eVTOLs
* Responsibility for successful completion of planning-related tasks
* Presentation of technical advice for airport master plans and development projects
* Contribution to the team’s technical understanding of emerging markets
Aviation – Airfield Engineering
Assist senior engineers in developing airfield infrastructure design.
* Support senior engineers in airfield design development
* Produce technical reports and specifications
* Design reviews across all stages (runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads)
* Coordinate design across Pavement, Structural, and Drainage teams
* Use Civil 3D for design and support design proposals
* Manage subcontractors and resource estimation
* Visit UK and international airfields to provide technical design consultation
Maritime Engineering
Plan, design, and construct port facilities, marine infrastructure, and coastal facilities.
* Inspection, design, and rehabilitation of UK ports
* Concept and detail designs of global port infrastructure
* Site visits to UK and overseas ports
* Prepare project deliverables: reports, specifications, drawings
* Technical calculations and research support
* Document control and financial management of projects
Pavement Engineering
Deliver pavement engineering work across aviation, maritime, streetscapes, and highways.
* Inspect local highways and pavement conditions
* Design pavements to National Highways, military, and commercial standards
* Design repairs and maintenance of assets
* Prepare calculations, specifications, and drawings
Graduate Development Programme
Two‑year programme supporting personal and professional growth through blended learning, mentorship, training agreements, and on‑the‑job experience. Supports chartered status with ICE and IStructE.
Qualification & Requirements
You must have graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant degree. Masters degrees are required for the Bridges team.
