ROLE: Graduate Design Engineer
LOCATION: Salisbury
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: GBP 25,000: GBP 29,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Graduate Design Engineer to join their team in Salisbury on a permanent basis.
The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
: Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design or similar
: Interested in developing a career in Design Engineering / Product Design
: A sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials
: Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
: Be proficient using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD etc.
: Hands:on technical experience through your course
: Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines
: Excellent attention to detail
: Organised with excellent communication and teamwork skills
The Graduate Design Engineer roles will involve:
: Using 2D and 3D CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
: Liaising with manufacturing providers
: Testing and prototype development
: Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
: Updating 3D models and drawings
: Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
: Checking drawings for sign off
: Working in a small multi:disciplinary team on varied projects
