SENIOR CONTRACTS LEGAL ADVISOR - CONTRACT SURREY

To be considered for the role, candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Our Client, a global leader in engineering and constructing major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore, is currently looking for a Senior Contracts Legal Advisor to join the team based in Surrey.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS

* Proven experience on similar role.
* Law degree or similar.
* Proficiency in professional English writing.
* Strong legal expertise, including LOGIC, FIDIC, Incoterms, Norwegian Law (preferred), and both common and civil law systems with a focus on contract law and partnership agreements.
* Good knowledge of the Companys core business areas such as EPC contracts, platform components, Offshore plants and subsea fields installation.
* Meticulous in contract preparation and management, ensuring legal compliance.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to assess risks, make informed decisions, and align actions with short- and long-term business goals while adapting to market trends and organizational needs.

JOB SCOPE

Purpose of the position:

AsSeniorContracts Advisoryou will be involved in negotiating with external parties and managing comprehensive contract activities, including analysis, drafting, and qualification. You will also support internal teams in tendering and project execution while coordinating with key corporate departments to ensure alignment and efficiency, reporting directly to the Head of Contract Management.

Job Requirements

* Assist the business in contract negotiations and successful project delivery
* Contribute to the success of commercial proposals with a distribution of risks and based on terms acceptable to the Company.
* Support the completion of projects within time and budget; contribute to the mitigation of risks and the maximization of profits resulting from the execution of projects.
* Acting not only as a functional expert but also and above all as trusted advisor and business partner across the Company.
* Ensure Clients standard contracting rules are adequately applied to all contracts, both with customers and suppliers/subcontractors, always in consideration of the perceived level of risks that each of them involves.
* Acquire a strong knowledge of Clients global organization, services and assets.

RATE:Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.

DURATION:Start ASAP. c18 months (to Q1 2027) outside IR35.

WORK PATTERN:Hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days working at home.
