Overview
Health & Safety Consultant at Turner & Townsend in Manchester. Provides H&S and CDM consultancy services from our Manchester office to existing and new clients. The scope is flexible, dependent upon the Client’s requirements, covering CDM and H&S Management.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice and, where required, help the client manage and understand their legal responsibilities in accordance with CDM regulations
* Establish positive relations with existing and new clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate
* Represent Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner, including meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients in a timely manner
* Contribute to all commissions, where responsibility is assigned, to ensure both client’s expectations/scope of service and the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s business management system are effectively discharged
* Carry out H&S performance reviews, audits, etc. on behalf of the client
Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations
* Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors desired
* Experience as a CDM Principal Designer would be an advantage, but not essential
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines
* Good IT skills to generate reports and documents – essential

Education And Professional Qualifications
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* Full UK driving licence
* NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent)
