We have a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Superuser role at our Doncaster site, we have roles to cover two shifts of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm.
The WMS Superuser is responsible for the smooth operation of the warehouse processes. The role involves maintaining, streamlining, and enhancing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) including the training out of new processes. This role demands a high level of technical acumen, problem solving skills, and an understanding of warehouse operations. The WMS superuser is the onsite specialist and go to person for WMS related issues, both systemic and operationally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain the WMS, ensuring its optimal performance.
2. Functional support for the Operations teams
3. Diagnose and resolve issues
4. Analyse system data to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
5. Provide training to warehouse staff on WMS operations.
6. Look for process deviation and implement corrective actions
7. Support the resolution of any system issues promptly, working with the central IT team
8. Work closely with IT and warehouse teams to implement new system features.
9. Prepare regular reports on system performance and improvements.
10. Support User acceptance testing for all new WMS implementation
11. Work with the training teams to Create process flows and systemic work instructions/S.O.P.s
12. Communicate with internal and external customers including attending weekly and adhoc meetings
13. Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the role
Skills and Experience
14. IT skills / Excel / PowerPoint / Word
15. Analytical approach
16. Ability to manage change with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
17. Developing and delivery of recommendations
18. Proven experience (min 3 years) with WMS or similar systems
19. Strong technical and problem-solving skills
20. Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and processes
21. Ability to train and support users in a system environment
22. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
23. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
