The Company:

Build Recruitment provides specialist recruitment services, supplying quality candidates on a temporary or permanent basis to leading organisations throughout the built environment – from executive to operative level.

With offices in London, Manchester, and the Southwest, we specialise in Housing, Construction, Facilities Management, Property, Surveying, Health & Safety and Sales. We supply candidates from executive to operative level, and are currently working with a social housing maintenance company, who are looking for a HR Assistant in Yeovil.

The HR Assistant will be responsible for supporting the HR team with DBS checks and other general HR functions.

HR Assistant duties:

Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries, responding, re-assigning or escalating as appropriate, to ensure timely resolution.

Process HR transactions, ensuring policies and procedures are always followed.

Responsible for updating and maintaining our core HR system, ensuring data quality and accuracy is always of a high standard.

Working alongside the HR team with primary oversight on DBS checks

What is required for the HR Assistant role:

HR or recruitment administration experience

Ability to work under pressure and multi-task, responding at pace to a varied and flexible workload.

Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
