Working Hours: 35 hours per week Contract: Permanent Interview Date: To be confirmed Job Summary: To Develop expression of Church involving working actively within the community, building positive relationships and promoting the wider Salvation Army. This role requires a sense of vision, purpose and a creative approach to build a church community. Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for developing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating a holistic community programme, that reflects the needs, demographics, culture and diversity of the area, seeking also to lead non-Christian volunteers into the Christian faith, which is in alignment with the mission development plan. Lead and facilitate people’s Christian discipleship, worship, social action and mission as part of an expression of The Salvation Army including leading Christian prayers, Bible study, mission and Christian mentoring. Provide regular reports to the relevant leadership teams/manager with full analysis of progress against agreed objectives related to the development of the project. Responsible for ensuring that the project complies with all relevant TSA and statutory policies and procedures such as safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: Significant experience of working in the voluntary sector to develop and manage successful local community programmes. Excellent levels of English literacy and numeracy at A level/NVQ level 3 or equivalent. sense of vision and creative approach to community work with the ability, personal drive and motivation to pioneer/Develop Bramley/Copper Beech expressions of church for all ages to serve the community.
