Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge? Join Thornford Park and be valued and supported as you flourish in your new role as a Night Coordinator. This role involves leading and managing the quality of nursing care for service users during night shifts, ensuring the service runs smoothly. You will be a pivotal member of the operational management team and will support the Nurses, Senior Nurses and clinical teams across Thornford Park. You will lead, manage and coordinate clinical duties to ensure quality and safety are maintained, and provide guidance, supervision and training to junior team members, including supporting online training, checking observation levels, evaluating the quality of work and reviewing team effectiveness.

Responsibilities
* Providing nursing leadership and support to nursing staff on night shift
* Undertaking clinical supervision with night staff
* Identifying night-time cost pressures within budget responsibilities and taking steps to minimise or eradicate their impact on the budget
* Managing staff allocation, redeployments and daily numbers on the ward and arranging the use of premium-rate staff to ensure budget is tightly controlled
* Working closely with the on-site staff coordinator to ensure adequate staffing is considered and booked for night and day teams
* Providing statistics and reports as required by the Hospital Director/Deputy Hospital Director
* Working at Thornford Park, a 141-bed independent hospital supporting service users who require medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services, with additional PICU Mental Health Service
* Providing personalised assessment and treatment programmes in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for males with mental illness/complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder, and for both male and female service users in a PICU setting
Qualifications
* Relevant experience as RMN/RNMH/RNLD
* First level nurse with evidence of professional development, relevant skills and knowledge
* Awareness of the wider healthcare economy and political environment
* Relevant clinical experience in a similar environment
* Proven track record of leadership skills
