The Business Support Officer will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across multiple business functions within the Countryside Service at Hampshire County Council.
Key Responsibilities
* Support effective governance processes and ensure accurate reporting on projects and work programmes.
* Coordinate business processes to support project delivery and compliance requirements.
* Manage funding requests, track spend, raise purchase orders and assist with grant applications.
* Maintain reporting systems, monitor dashboards and produce regular financial and project status reports.
* Handle general administration tasks such as meeting minutes, inbox management and SharePoint updates, while ensuring governance and deadlines are met.
* Travel to various locations within Hampshire as required; a current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
Qualifications
* Experienced administrator with keen attention to detail and a proven ability to identify and implement service improvements.
* Understanding of financial management.
* Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to build effective working relationships and engage with people at all levels across multiple teams.
* Self‑motivated and able to work well under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
* Passionate about developing and implementing new ways of working while ensuring processes are followed.
