Learning Support Worker Required Now

Location: Cranleigh, Surrey

About Us:

This School provides tailored educational support for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related conditions. The school is committed to nurturing the potential of every learner by creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with complex needs. Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting students with challenging behaviours in a structured educational setting.
* Assisting in the implementation of personalized learning plans.
* Providing personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support when required.
* Contributing to the development of social skills, communication, and independence.
* Working closely with teachers and other support staff to raise the standard of teaching and learning.
* Promoting a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Requirements:

* Relevant qualifications: A qualification in health, social care, or education (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, CACHE, or similar) is preferred but not essential.
* Experience with challenging behaviours: Experience working with adults or children displaying challenging behaviours is essential, whether in a professional or personal capacity.
* Personal experience: They value candidates who have personal experience with learning disabilities or special needs, even if you do not have formal work experience in the field.
* Commitment to personal care: You should be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks when needed.
* Flexible qualifications: If you have a degree in a related field but lack formal work experience, your personal experience and passion will be highly regarded.
