Responsibilities
* The Radiology Services Manager has the responsibility for the delivery of a high quality service and to sustain professional standards across all modalities within the Radiology Directorate including general radiology, MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, interventional radiology and breast imaging.
* The post holder will be responsible for the operational management, planning, performance monitoring, service improvement and development of the imaging functions across the Trust and ensure services are delivered in line with internal and external performance targets, including specific responsibility for Radiation Protection.
* You will work closely with Divisional Management team and Executive Directors to ensure that Radiology service plans are in place and that adequate resources exist to ensure the provision of professional, safe and high quality services.
* You will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the Trust's corporate strategy and will ensure that all relevant policies and national standards are implemented and maintained.
About Us
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Person Specification
Essential
* BSc in Diagnostic Health Imaging (or equivalent)
* Masters level education or equivalent experience
Desirable
* Management or professional qualification at post graduate level
Knowledge and Experience
* Significant radiology experience across a broad range of imaging specialties
* Specialised knowledge of all imaging specialties and statutory regulations associated with ionising radiation
Skills and Abilities
* Self-motivated, flexible with inter-personal skills, able to develop, motivate and maintain effective teams and manage a demanding and challenging workload
