Duties as a General Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in biology, chemistry and physics
Inspire pupils to think critically and scientifically, both inside and outside the classroom
Use data to track student progress and personalise learning
Maintain high standards of health and safety in practical activities
Prepare students for GCSE exams, supporting both high achievers and those needing extra support
Contribute to the development of schemes of work, assessments, and extracurricular opportunities
Engage fully in school life, including enrichment clubs, trips and open evenings
Ideal General Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A relevant science degree or equivalent qualification
Strong subject knowledge across all three sciences at KS3/4
A passion for science education and student achievement
A creative, adaptable and reflective approach to teaching
