Job Summary:
We are seeking 6 Resorts Drivers (Level 1) to join our team working on behalf of the council in the Bridport area, including the West Bay and Lyme Regis areas. This temporary role involves driving a council vehicle to empty bins and support the maintenance of resort cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate council vehicles to collect and empty bins in designated resort areas.
* Ensure the safe disposal of waste and debris according to council regulations.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the resort areas.
* Adhere to all traffic laws, council policies, and safety protocols while driving.
* Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working condition.
* Work as part of a team to ensure efficient and timely completion of duties.
* Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.
Qualifications and Skills:
* A valid UK driving license
* Previous experience in a driving or waste collection role is desirable.
* Knowledge of the West Bay and Lyme Regis areas is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
* Flexibility to work on a 4-day on, 2-day off rotating shift pattern.
* Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Teams:
Green Team: West Bay area
Red Team: Lyme Regis area
White Team: Covers both West Bay and Lyme Regis areas
