Hays are delighted to be partnering with a family-run business, who are home to some iconic Yorkshire household brands. Hays are supporting their recruitment of a Senior Payroll Co-ordinator to join their busy Finance function.
Your new role
The Senior Payroll Coordinator will provide hands-on technical, process and administrative support to the Payroll Team and the wider business. Primarily tasked with reconciliation of payroll information, this candidate needs to have excellent Excel skills.
1. Support the Payroll Manager with reconciliation of internal accounts, HMRC returns, Pension and PMI submissions to external portals.
2. Support Payroll with any payroll system troubleshooting.
3. Performing rigorous audit checks on all keying activity and transfer of data between HR and Payroll systems (within Payroll timescales)
4. Manipulation of data via spreadsheets through advanced use of Excel
5. Processing starter, leaver and transfer documentation, including (but not limited to), structure setup/maintenance and processing of documentation
6. Processing all payments, variable pay and documentation relating to payroll activities
7. Processing and calculation of HMRC obligations, including tax code uplifts, SMP, SSP, SPP, SAP, RTI processing and thepletion of SMP1 and SSP1 forms
What you'll need to succeed
8. Payroll System Knowledge.
9. Legislative knowledge of PAYE & GDPR.
10. Ability tomunicate at all levels.
11. Customer Service Experience.
12. SAP and SDWorx knowledge.
13. Excellent Excel skills
