Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for the development and management of our web and app platforms, ensuring ali gnment with industry standards and best practices in health tech. Development / implementation of best-in-class business tools to allow the teams to run the business across multiple segments and territories.
* Team Management: Lead and develop an internal team of developers and technical specialists as well as manage relationships with external development agencies, fo stering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
* Health Engagement and other Systems: Manage and integrate a variety of third-party systems relating to health engagement, CRM and ecommerce and more leveraging data and technology to drive personalised experiences and improve user enga gement as well as optimise business process.
* Data: Whilst ensuring we meet all regulatory requirements particularly for medical data, enable the teams to have access to the data we need to run the business. Approach data as an asset and how we can use it to establish success i.e proving behaviour change
* International Scaling: Develop and execute a strategy for scaling our applications internationally, including the development of multiple app versions, tenancies and APIs to support both branded and white-labelled solutions including the support of multiple languages and regulatory environments.
* Solutions Architecture: Act as the team's Solution Architect, guiding technical decisions and providing expertise on system design, scalability, data organisation and performance optimisation.
* AI Integration: Explore opportunities to leverage AI technology to drive personalisation, improve engagement across our platforms and simplify business processes working closely with science, data scientists and engineers to implement innovative solutions.
* B2B Offer Development: Play a key role in the development of our B2B offering, collaborating with stakeholders to identify market needs and develop bespoke product solutions to meet customer requirements. Be the interface with key B2B clients to offer consultancy support and technical assessment for complex implementations.
* Technical Support: Set up and agree process and support for SLA for end-users, internal teams and B2B working across all territory time zones.
* Regulatory processes and accreditation: Work with the regs team to agree target accreditations i.e. ISO and embed processes to qualify for and maintain them
* Wider Team Leadership: As a senior member of the H&B&Me team, you will be expected to play a wider leadership role working with the senior strategy, business cases, three -years plans and wider initiatives such as team engagement.
The Person
Experience /Key Skills
Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in technical leaderships roles within the health tech or related industry.
* Application Layer: Golang, OAS3, GRPC, NodeJS, and TypeScript for core business logic.
* Data Storage Layer: PostgreSQL database and AWS S3 for persistent data storage.
* Integration Layer: REST/OAS3 and GRPC for communication between components.
* Security Layer: Auth service, Hashicorp Vault, and Akamai for system security and data protection.
* Observability: DataDog, Logging, Tracing, Sentry, Firebase, and Google Analytics for monitoring and analytics.
* Deployment Architecture: Utilizes Kubernetes, GitLab/GitOps, CI/CD with CodeMagic, and dedicated environments for production and development
* Shopify and Dacado Health Engagement Platform
Strong understanding of health tech standard, data privacy regulations and digital accessibility standards. Experience managing web and app development projects, including D2C and B2B applications. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field. Demonstrated expertise in integrating and managing third-party systems, particularly those related to health engagement ideally, ecommerce & CRM essential. Proficiency in solution architecture, API design and system integration. Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in health tech.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams. Strong people leader managing distributed teams with a focus on team development.
