Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Moving and Handling Optimisation Team
Location: Manchester
Rate: Up to £36 per hour (depending on experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the Moving and Handling Optimisation Team within social care in Manchester.
Responsibilities
* Utilise expertise in moving and handling techniques, equipment, adaptations, and assistive technology to enhance individuals’ independence and quality of life.
* Conduct risk assessments and provide training to carers on equipment such as hoists, slings, and stand aids.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and Assessment Officers.
* Report to the Moving and Handling Optimisation Team Manager (OT).

Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Occupational Therapy, registered with HCPC, with experience in moving and handling, risk assessments, and training. A background in single-handed care is desirable. A full UK driving license is required.
