Job Title: Energy Manager
Organization: Kingston University
Kingston University London is seeking to recruit an Energy Manager to develop the University’s energy strategy and lead operational energy management and projects.

It oversees strategic planning, capital development, space management, operational sustainability, energy management, biodiversity, statutory compliance, and campus operations. It also manages the estate through KUSCO, a wholly owned subsidiary.
Our aim is to achieve high energy efficiency standards and minimize operational energy costs across the estate. We develop decarbonisation plans and contribute to the net zero carbon agenda, implementing sustainable practices through chosen methods, materials, and technologies.
The Energy Manager will lead the operational control of energy management, focusing on reducing CO2 emissions while maintaining compliance with statutory obligations and best practices. The role involves managing a Utilities budget of approximately £5 million, forecasting budgets, and reporting on gas, electricity, and water expenditures across all university premises.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Estates and Sustainability colleagues on energy management and estate improvement initiatives. They should have a strong track record in energy and utilities management, technical skills in engineering services, including renewable energy technologies, and experience developing energy and carbon reduction strategies for complex estates.
