The Radiographic Assistant undertakes a wide range of administrative duties and direct patient care to support the BTHFT Radiology team within a busy and dynamic department. This role is primarily based in the Primary Imaging (X-Ray) department at the Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), which covers a 24-hour service, 7 days a week. Main duties of the job o Assist radiographers in the safe handling of patients, in accordance with Trust Moving and Handling guidance. o Always promote equality, diversity and inclusion. o Adhere to Information Governance, ensuring patient confidentiality. o Provide hygiene support for patients if required. o Enable and assist patients to access and use toilet facilities. o Provide eating and drinking support for patients who require assistance. o Chaperone X-ray examinations where required and appropriate. o Assistance with patient changing for examinations. o Escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
