CE Global Partners are looking for a Payroll Audit & Process Assurance Specialist to support internal and external risk reviews, control assessments, and documentation of payroll structures and processes.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in payroll, audit, risk, or process improvement who enjoys problem-solving and communicating clearly with different stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
* Conduct payroll setup reviews focusing on key risk areas (e.g., pension compliance, financial controls, National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage, data integrity).
* Interview payroll teams, HR and reporting stakeholders to understand current processes.
* Document processes using tools such as Visio and prepare clear workflow diagrams.
* Identify risks and gaps in controls; propose remediation and governance improvements.
* Work with global and UK payroll teams as needed.
* Present findings to internal and client stakeholders.
Essential:
* Strong understanding of payroll operations and payroll compliance.
* Experience in process documentation, risk assessment, or audit environments.
* Excellent analytical, organisational and interviewing skills.
* Strong communicator — able to translate complex process details into clear risk/control narratives.
Desirable:
* Background in audit (internal, compliance, operational) or risk functions.
* Experience with UK payroll compliance and process design.
