Job Description JOB- Production Team Leader LOCATION- Rochdale TERM- Permanent SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000 (Dependant on experience) Premier Engineering is working with a well-established precision engineering company based in Rochdale. They are looking to recruit a Production Team Leader to oversee a high-performance machining cell specialising in CNC Machining, Grinding, and Toolmaking. This role is ideal for an experienced hands-on leader with a strong background in precision engineering and a drive for continuous improvement. The Production Team Leader will ideally have the following attributes: Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of CNC Machining, Surface/Cylindrical Grinding, and Toolroom practices Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications Familiarity with quality systems and inspection techniques Experience with lean manufacturing principles and production efficiency improvements Excellent communication, team coordination, and leadership skills A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement The Production Team Leader role will involve: Managing a skilled team within a precision machining cell Ensuring production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met Supporting staff with technical guidance across CNC, grinding, and toolmaking operations Monitoring workflow, machine utilisation, and material availability Conducting team briefings, performance reviews, and training support Driving a culture of quality, safety, and efficiency across the cell Liaising with other departments including planning, engineering, and quality assurance If you are a Production Team Leader based in Rochdale with strong experience in CNC machining and precision manufacturing, please apply with your latest CV, along with your availability and salary expectations.
