What you will be doing:
The Head of Commercial Services is the subject matter expert responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for the University’s Commercial, Security and Sport services to meet the evolving needs of the University of Bradford. This role provides a diverse offer that satisfies students, staff, and visitors while aligning with strategic goals and maintaining commercial viability.
Overseeing the entire range of commercial functions, working with the Associate Director Estates and Commercial Services, the Head of Commercial Services is responsible for strategic planning, operational oversight, customer experience, and financial management. Effective leadership is crucial for delivering high quality security, commercial & sport operations that meet and exceed customer needs in a cost-effective manner.
Considering the importance of creating a safe, secure, vibrant and engaging campus environment, this role necessitates a collaborative approach with other senior leaders. The Head of Commercial Services will work closely with key stakeholders to champion and implement initiatives that will provide a safe and secure campus, enhance campus life, promote sustainability and foster inclusivity. They will ensure that service teams support and improve the student and staff experience, while driving success through effective planning and execution.
Qualifications/ experience:
1. Level 6 or equivalent, or equivalent extensive professional experience
2. Significant leadership experience in customer focussed service management
3. Proven leadership skills and a track record of successfully delivering projects within higher education institutions
