Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
* Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring that all food safety standards are adhered to.
* Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed.
* Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
