Overview
We are looking to appoint a full time Environmental Health Officer within the Environmental Protection and Community Safety Department.
Working under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Health Officer your duties will cover the full range of functions undertaken by the Department including statutory nuisance, noise, anti-social behaviour, odour, drainage, air quality, contaminated land, private water supplies, pest control, environmental permitting, public health, planning and licensing consultations.
Responsibilities
* Cover the full range of functions undertaken by the Department including statutory nuisance, noise, anti-social behaviour, odour, drainage, air quality, contaminated land, private water supplies, pest control, environmental permitting, public health, planning and licensing consultations.
* Work independently with the ability to plan and manage your own workload.
* Use the full range of enforcement tools available to enable the early and effective resolution of complaints.
Qualifications
* The successful applicant must have a degree in Environmental Health with experience in the field of Environmental Protection; however newly qualified applicants who possess a strong enthusiasm to learn and grow in the workplace are encouraged to apply.
