The Senior Pharmacist will undertake clinical medication reviews and patient-facing clinics, working in partnership with the patient’s GP practice, nurses, care homes, community pharmacists, secondary care, and the local authority.
Utilising their prescribing qualification, the role will support the medication needs of patients as well as educate other healthcare professionals on prescribing and the effective use of medicines.
The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently, whilst also integrating into a well-established team. You will have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, together with a good working knowledge of primary care and the challenges facing medicines management in the current healthcare environment.
This is a fixed-term role to cover maternity leave. For those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on secondment before submitting an application.
