About the Role
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? NG Bailey Facilities Services is on the lookout for a skilled Mobile Electrical Installer/Tester to join our prestigious SETL - South East Trains Limited contract. This is your chance to work on a variety of railway stations and buildings across the South East Trains estate!
As a vital member of our team, you will need a UK Driving License, as a company van will be provided. Additionally, you will be required to pass a medical and complete a course to obtain a PTS (Personal Track Safety) sentinel card if you don’t already have one. This is a condition of employment.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.
* Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.
* Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards.
* Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions.
* Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
* Undertake various installation tasks such as consumer units, emergency lighting, rewires, and electrical remedial works.
* Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills.
* Manage your time effectively and meet deadlines.
Working Hours
Enjoy a balanced work-life with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What We’re Looking For
We seek an Electrical Installer/Tester who is committed to delivering high-quality building services with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You should hold current qualifications, including:
* NVQ Level 3 and AM2 to progress towards becoming an NICEIC QS.
* City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
* City and Guilds 18th Edition.
* Personal Track Safety - PTS (Desirable).
* IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable).
* Safe System of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc. (Desirable).
* L8 Training (Desirable).
