Requirements:
* Education:GCSE level or above in numeracy and literacy.
* Technical Skills:IT literate, with a solid understanding of construction testing.
* Experience:Minimum of 3 years in construction UKAS testing and familiarity with 17025 accredited laboratory demands.
* Driving:Must have a full UK driving license.
* Record Keeping:Accurate and consistent record-keeping skills.
Working Hours:
* Standard:40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
* Flexibility:Longer days with travel, occasional stay aways andnight shifts when necessary and optional weekend work.
Responsibilities:
* Operations:Ensure timely and efficient of site tests.
* Compliance:Produce test results in line with documented procedures, standards, and UKAS requirements.
* Team Supervision:Train, motivate, and deploy staff through our buddying up program.
* Safety:Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
* Collaboration:Liaise with Operations Supervisors and Managers for smooth day-to-day operations.
Daily Duties:
* Work safely following the Company Health & Safety Policy.
* Complete allocated work as directed by supervisors.
* Maintain team harmony and morale.
* Control incoming and stored test specimens.
* Assist in record maintenance related to the Management System.
* Train subordinate staff as required.
* Maintain clean and tidy work areas and equipment.
Main Tasks:
* Ensure the work environment and equipment are always clean and tidy.
* Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by senior staff.
* Assume responsibilities of other Senior Technicians in their absence.
* Test materials and maintain knowledge of sampling and test procedures.
