Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookings Clerk based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Please note this is a fixed-term vacancy for 12 months.

What you will do:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Booking Clerk within our Workforce Solutions Department based at 22 Lister Street, Crosshouse.

In support of our core purpose of Working together to achieve the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran we are committed to a culture that is Caring Safe and Respectful. The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe caring and respectful way.

Working within the Workforce Solutions Department you will work as part of a small team processing requests for additional staff within clinical and administrative areas when they have short falls in their establishment. Experience of working in an office environment is essential, as is excellent communication skills. You will possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and have the ability to deal confidently with managers, staff and all external stakeholders. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Training will be provided on in house IT Systems.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

We are looking for someone with a flexible approach good attention to detail and a helpful and friendly manner who will thrive as part of a busy team. This is a full time post of 37 hours per week. Successful candidates will be expected to work a variable shift pattern which includes some weekend working, at least one full weekend per month. The office is open 0800-1830 hours Mon – Wed; 0800-2000 hours Thursday and Friday and 0900-1700 hours at weekends. You will be expected to work some of our public holidays. Example of shift types: 0800-1600 hours; 0800-1530 hours; 0900-1700 hours; 1030-1830 hours; 1200-2000 hours.
