The Job you’ll do: * Optimise and maintain Manufacturing Engineering processes in line with company and product quality standards, including ISO 9001. * Ensure robust designs and processes for the Manufacturing team, meeting product yield, quality, and time targets. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to champion and implement design for manufacturing principles throughout the product life cycle. * Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the Operations team. * Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs, and optimise manufacturing timelines. * Evaluate and improve current processes and procedures, to eliminate waste and improve output. * Effectively manage time across multiple projects, clearly communicating progress to stakeholders. * Design and implement manufacturing routings within the company's MRP system. * Work closely with the Production support team to achieve departmental targets and KPIs. * Develop comprehensive knowledge of the company's product portfolio and manufacturing processes. * Stay up to date with manufacturing technologies relevant to the company's needs. * Support the Operations team, providing training on best practices for key processes. * Create detailed and accurate work instructions using CAD and written documentation. About You: HND/Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject - e.g. electronics/electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.Experience within a high value engineering environment is desirableProficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiringIn-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality controlStrong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D)Proficient in CAD software, Microsoft Office suite, and MRP systemsAbility to create and optimise work instructions for product manufacturingExcellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical information to various audiencesWorking knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesKnowledge of programming languages, PLCs and robotics (Desirable)
