ABOUT THE JOB
Personal assistant is required for a 7 year old boy living in St Mellons, Cardiff. He has a diagnosis of ADHD and Autism but the ADHD is much more prominent. He is constantly on the move, running, climbing and exploring so will need someone who can keep up with his pace and match his energy.
He also has Pica, a condition where he may try to eat non-food items. His PA must be vigilant and safety‑conscious at all times, ensuring his environment is safe and free from harmful items.
He is a lively young boy who loves the outdoors, swimming, farms, trampolines, and exploring through play. He needs someone who is ready to actively engage, not just supervise, and he thrives on routine, gentle encouragement, and playful interaction.
He has communication difficulties and is often hard to understand unless you know him well. Because of this, he can sometimes become frustrated when he’s not understood, so someone who is patient with creative communication skills are essential.
