ASSISTANCE PRAISE AND WORSHIP LEADER
We are seeking an Assistance Praise and Worship Leader to work with Christ Apostolic Church Pilgrims Tabernacle.
Our congregation is warm and welcoming, located in a lively environment. As our ministry grows, we are looking for a volunteer Assistance Praise & Worship Leader to join our team and oversee worship during services.
Under minimal supervision by the Senior Pastor, experienced applicants will be considered first.
PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* The primary responsibility is to work with the Music Director to facilitate excellent weekly corporate worship experiences, blending traditional and contemporary music led by an outstanding praise team.
* Attend church services, bible studies, and outings.
* Arrive early and prepare for all worship services and rehearsals.
* Build relationships with workers, church members, and the community.
* Select, teach, and lead praise and worship music for services and events, ensuring continuity during absences.
* Lead songs with choirs or ensembles as requested.
* Manage praise team rehearsals independently.
* Handle administrative duties such as scheduling and attire coordination.
* Collaborate with the Director of Music and Choir Master for planning and execution.
* Manage Planning Center for scheduling and music uploads.
* Provide song lyrics and visuals for worship.
* Develop the praise team spiritually, vocally, and numerically, fostering leadership and singing talent.
* Uphold the doctrines of Christ Apostolic Church and regard the Bible as God's final authority.
* Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles.
* Show proficiency in various worship music genres, including traditional hymns, gospel, Pentecostal, Baptist, and contemporary Christian music.
* Embrace creativity and interpret the pastor’s vision to enhance worship experiences.
* Be self-motivated, effective independently, and results-oriented.
* Exhibit humility and a willingness to grow and learn.
* Preferably have 2 years of experience leading or performing with worship teams.
* Possess leadership, interpersonal, and time management skills.
* Work collaboratively with the ministry team and congregation.
* Language skills in English, Yoruba, or Akan (Fante/Twi) are preferred.
