About the role
We are seeking a Head of Grants Management to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team, which provides timely financial planning and reporting across the organization. Managing a small team, you will oversee the grants lifecycle, including due diligence, grant agreements, amendments, and payment scheduling, supporting over 160 grants and £32m in expenditure.
As Head of Grants Management, you will ensure our grant management processes comply with standards and policies. You will provide advice and analysis to colleagues to support successful programs, monitor grant statuses, analyze variances, and manage foreign exchange exposure. Additionally, you will train grant issuing teams, conduct due diligence, review existing grantees annually, and play a key role in implementing a new Grants Management System.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Hands-on experience in grant management.
* Significant leadership and coaching experience.
* An accountancy qualification (part or fully qualified) or equivalent experience, with exposure to compliance activities such as due diligence.
* Strong process management skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
* Training and capacity-building abilities.

The salary for this role is £48,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

This role is hybrid, requiring 20% in-office presence at our UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey, one of the greenest buildings in the UK, surrounded by trees and gardens.
