Early Years Teaching Assistant
A primary school in the BS5 area is seeking a reliable and committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their Early Years provision. This is a long‑term position suited to someone with strong foundational knowledge of early childhood development and a proactive approach to supporting young learners.
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare
or
* Paediatric First Aid certification
(Both are highly desirable)
* Experience working within an Early Years setting
* Understanding of the EYFS framework
* Ability to support children’s learning, wellbeing, and routine
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Confidence working with pupils with varying needs, including SEN
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
* Support the class teacher in delivering high‑quality Early Years provision
* Assist with learning activities, small‑group work, and individual support
* Contribute to the creation of a safe, organised, and nurturing environment
* Promote positive behaviour and engage pupils in their daily routines
* Support with observations and record‑keeping where required
* Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
