The UK&I division people team works to supercharge its portfolio of brands by attracting, nurturing and growing the brilliant people who power its market leading propositions. A strategic partner for the UK&I business that operates at the core of the business, the people team implements the overall people strategy that helps us elevate our people performance and culture while providing a consistent, shared experience for all UK&I people no matter where they are and what they do.
The People Director is responsible for mobilising, delivering and embedding Flutter UK&I’s People Strategy within the business. You will work closely with the UK&I LT CTO and COO functionsto implement a divisionally aligned approach towards local people plans, talent identification and retention and driving employee engagement alongside high performing cultures.
Reporting into the Flutter UK&I Chief PeopleOfficer (CPO), the Director of People Partnering will lead a teamof peoplepartners and heads of people partnering across our UK&I locations and be an influential member of the People Leadership Team. They must be credible, able to influence the UK&I Divisional leadership team and inspire change.
What you'll do
1. Partner with the business to develop and implement people plans that map directly to the people strategy and delivers on business outcomes.
2. Act as a strategic people advisor to the Flutter UK&I Leadership Team
3. Collaborate closely with the UKI Change & Transformation Director to drive organisational design, change and transformation programmes in line with the business strategy
4. Providing expert input to organisation design to ensure that the structure of the functions enables the achievement of customer centric, commercial outcomes
5. As a member of the PLT, contribute to the overall development and implementation of the UK&I People Strategy
6. Along with other Directors of People Partnering and Talent COE toownthe UK&I talent & performance management strategy - Identify and build skills and capabilities against our strategic workforce plan and critical initiatives
7. Continue to evaluate the effectiveness of how we manage performance to ensure our top talent are identified and rewarded, low performance is addressed, and the UK&I values are embedded
8. Partner closely with the leadership team to embed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles and encouraging an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and celebrated
9. Work with the wider UK&I People Leadership Team to ensure that local needs are embedded into central strategy
10. Become trusted advisor on people issues to Senior Leadership Team; Coach and mentor Senior Leaders to be empowered around people, engagement and performance topics/decisions
11. Build positive relationships with leaders and teams globally to improve overall individual, team & organisational performance
12. Tap into the network of People Directors across the group to share ideas and facilitate a joined up approach that improves our employee experience
13. Provide strong commercial management of people costs and people risks across the functions
14. Use people data to deliver key insights and encourage appropriate action by the senior team
15. Provide leadership to, managing and growing a HR team that shares knowledge, insights and is highly regarded by the business
How you'll do it
16. Proven track record operating at a senior leadership level, supporting senior business leaders and their functions in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
17. Ability to work across different locations and cultures and tailor the delivery of the people strategy accordingly
18. Experience designing and delivering people strategy through to execution
19. Proven strategic people partner used to working with senior leaders
20. Strong organisational change and project management experience having worked on the delivery of key strategic people projects
21. People management experience, leading a team and contributing to a high-performance based culture
22. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
