Project Manager – Contract Role Location: On-site 4 days per week, including occasional night shifts Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 months Hourly Rate: £64.81 per hour - Inside IR35
Overview: An experienced Project Manager is required to support a security transformation programme within a large-scale infrastructure environment. The role will be based predominantly on-site (minimum 4 days per week), with occasional night shifts. One post will be working closely with the Tunnels Team .
This is a hands-on delivery role involving complex IT infrastructure projects including networking, access control systems, CCTV, and related assets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project leadership, experience across the full project lifecycle, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of high-value IT infrastructure projects.
Ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality standards.
Support bid preparation and contribute to work-winning activity.
Manage resourcing and coordinate with delivery teams.
Maintain strong client relationships to drive performance and future opportunities.
Ensure compliance with business, HSE, and quality standards.
Support the full project lifecycle from tender through to closeout.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and design standards.
Qualifications & Experience: Degree or HNC in Engineering or a relevant discipline (preferred).
Chartered status or working toward chartership (desirable).
Extensive project management experience in ICT/telecoms infrastructure projects.
Strong technical understanding of IT and communication systems.
Portfolio and change management experience.
Solid understanding of design procedures and governance.
Experience working with contractors and third-party suppliers.
APMP or PRINCE2 (preferred).
Health & Safety qualification (e.g. CDM, APS, IOSH) desirable.
CSCS or equivalent required.
Familiarity with NEC4 contracts is an advantage.
