Overview
We are looking for a people person with previous experience of people management or supervision, or an experienced Cleaning Supervisor, to work with a core Central Government Mitie client. The role involves assisting in managing a remote site-based cleaning team, including management and development of staff, monitoring service delivery to ensure excellent standards for routine planned and periodic cleaning, and assisting the Regional team in various management functions.
Responsibilities
* Deliver routine planned and periodic cleaning.
* Ensure cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules while following correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as required.
* Distribute uniforms, deliver Toolbox Talks, and carry out occasional audits.
* Mentor new starters, monitor cleanliness standards and use of materials, and order stocks.
* Address issues efficiently and professionally, referring to the line manager when appropriate.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous supervisory experience and preferably combined with cleaning experience.
* Good communication and IT skills; reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
* Able to work to a schedule and on own initiative; field-based role requiring travel to manage a team based in multiple remote locations.
* The role is subject to Government security clearance, including the requirement to have lived in the UK for the minimum of the last 5 calendar years.
