Overview
The administrator will provide comprehensive and high‑quality admin support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice. The role requires a proactive and organised individual who can manage competing priorities, work independently, and respond effectively to changing demands. The administrator will communicate professionally with patients and colleagues while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities
* Provide general administrative support to the wider team
* Maintain accurate records and ensure data is entered onto clinical systems in a timely manner
* Support with document management
* Book and manage appointments
* Assist with processing referrals
* Support the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
* Ensure confidentiality is maintained in line with GDPR and NHS policies
Qualifications
Essential
* Previous administrative experience (ideally within a healthcare setting but not essential)
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
* Confident using IT systems
* Works well both independently and as part of a team
* High level of attention to detail
Desirable
* Experience working within the NHS or primary care
* Knowledge of SystmOne clinical system
* Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection
