About the role
Lead on the development and implementation of the airport’s IT strategy ensuring an effective, resilient and secure IT infrastructure is maintained to support airport operations 24/7 365 days a year. To have principal accountability across networks and telephony, cybersecurity, email systems, server and desktop environments, storage, and virtualisation. The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a clear technical and digital vision, strategy, design and roadmaps which support the airport’s current and future technology needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and review the IT strategy and related policies and procedures for Doncaster Sheffield Airport. This will cover the operation and usage of IT equipment and software programs, ensure robust policies and procedures are in place for the usage and security of all IT systems.
* Lead digital transformation initiatives and find innovative solutions to improve passenger experience and operational efficiency. Ensuring the delivery of a secure, robust IT infrastructure.
* Manage IT budgets in line with the airports financial procedures ensuring budgets are managed effectively whilst delivering service objectives and value for money.
* Develop implement and review a robust maintenance and performance plan for critical airport systems.
* Responsible for the airports IT Infrastructure, ensuring systems and software meet essential security requirements (e.g. CAP1753, PSN and PCI), including engagement with the CAA and ICO.
* The development of cyber security protocols to ensure all operations are secure and critical systems are identified.
* Responsible for ensuring all maintenance and installation work in relation to IT infrastructure, ensuring that the operational IT service is safe and secure.
* Lead on IT procurements, including specification writing, developing clarification questions and scoring tender submissions.
The successful candidate:
You will bring proven experience in the strategic management of IT teams in an aviation setting, ideally at a senior leadership level, with significant experience of successful technical project delivery and technical assurance. As a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, you will demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders effectively. Your ability to make critical decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment, coupled with strong problem-solving and operational delivery expertise, will be key to success in this role.
