THIS IS A LOCAL GOVERNMENT ROLE THEREFORE YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE LOCAL GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE
THE ROLE:
Provide functional and/or operational leadership and specialist advice and support for senior procurement specialists ensuring the provision procurement and contracts support to colleagues across the organisation.
Provide specialist advice and input to project teams undertaking procurement, particularly those over the UK Procurement threshold
Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including internal and external stakeholders
Champion and promote best practice across the organisation.
Provide technical assurance and develop internal standards, policies and procedures within the service area in light of legislative changes associated with the procurement act
Qualifications
CIPS or equivalent experience
