Overview
Controls Engineer (PLC / Automation) – Gloucester. Salary £50,000 to £55,000 DOE + Contributory Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Additional 5 Days Holiday with Service + Private Medical + Group Life Assurance (5 x Salary) + Income Protection + Training and Development. 37 Hours Per Week: Week 1 Monday to Friday, Week 2 Monday to Thursday; Every Second Friday Off.

Responsibilities
* A Programming PLC, HMI and Motion Control : Rockwell Logix Platform, Safety PLC, Siemens Control systems etc.
* A Modification and programming from scratch
* A Split between based at Gloucester and International Travel to client sites
* A You will work within a small team programming PLC, HMI and Motion Control applications for automated machinery. You will work on both new and existing machinery so will be involved in both programming from scratch and modification.
* A The role will also require international travel to client sites, and you can expect to travel four to five times per year, for two to three weeks at a time. You will typically travel alongside mechanical service engineers and will ensure any issues that appear after the machinery is rebuilt on customer sites are resolved to customers satisfaction.
Qualifications / Requirements
* A Canddiates will need experience with PLC, HMI and motion programming, ideally with robotic applications, but can come from any industry background.
* A The successful Controls / Automation Engineer will be based from the companys site in Gloucester where they will work within a small team programming PLC, HMI and Motion Control applications for automated machinery. You will work on both new and existing machinery so will be involved in both programming from scratch and modification.
* A Experience in a similar role
* A Able to programme from scratch
Travel & Location
International travel to client sites is required, typically four to five times per year for two to three weeks at a time. Travel is usually alongside mechanical service engineers.
