Position Overview
AJT Engineering Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSEQ Co-ordinator for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves supporting the delivery of engineering solutions across traditional energy and renewable sectors, including offshore wind and hydro power projects.
You will play a vital role in maintaining HSEQ standards, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and client specifications. Your efforts will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of projects within the oil, gas, and renewables sectors, and help AJT Engineering Ltd maintain its Fit for Offshore Renewables (F4OR) certification.
Job Purpose
Support the HSEQ Department in fulfilling its responsibilities and objectives.
Main Responsibilities
1. Maintain, update, and manage the document control register.
2. Carry out tasks as requested by the HSEQ Manager.
3. Raise internal/external NCRs within the Progress Plus System.
4. Maintain HSEQ notice boards and communication folders.
5. Maintain, update, and monitor HSEQ records for all facilities.
6. Assist with the safety observation card report system to promote a positive safety culture.
7. Assist in creating HSEQ procedures and work instructions.
8. Coordinate and report on all HSEQ-related meetings.
9. Assist with data input on the Training matrix and manage training bookings.
10. Manage the Access Training platform.
11. Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
12. Assist with environmental and sustainability reports.
13. Monitor fire systems, including extinguishers, alarms, and drills.
14. Check first aid equipment for stock and expiry.
15. Monitor calibration and lifting equipment.
16. Conduct internal and supplier audits.
17. Perform weekly site inspections.
18. Conduct calibration spot checks and update registers.
19. Evaluate contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
20. Support initiatives to enhance safety culture.
21. Coordinate facility risk assessments.
22. Manage PAT testing and permit to work systems.
23. Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and preventative actions.
Skills And Abilities
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
2. High attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
5. Ability to promote a positive HSEQ culture across all staff levels.
Knowledge & Experience
1. Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
2. Relevant health and safety qualifications such as IOSH or equivalent.
3. Auditor qualification (desirable).
