As a Digital Trading Executive, you will play a key role in delivering online sales performance and ensuring the best possible customer journey across ecommerce platforms. Reporting into the Digital Trading Manager, you will support the day-to-day trading of the website, monitor KPIs, and work closely with cross-functional teams to maximise sales, margin, and stock availability.
This is a role for someone highly analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially driven, with a genuine passion for ecommerce and digital retail.
Key Responsibilities
Trading & Reporting
* Monitor daily and weekly trading performance across sales, traffic, conversion, and AOV.
* Prepare trading reports and provide insights on product performance, customer behaviour, and competitor activity.
* Support monthly and seasonal trading reviews.
Product & Assortment Management
* Assist with digital range planning, order placement, and monitoring OTB.
* Ensure accurate and timely product launches with strong attention to product copy, imagery, and SEO.
* Highlight risks and opportunities across bestsellers, underperformers, and stock availability.
Promotions & Events
* Support set-up and execution of promotions, campaigns, and discount strategies.
* Monitor and analyse performance during events such as Black Friday, bundles, and seasonal markdowns.
Stock & Availability
* Track stock levels and collaborate with operations to ensure timely replenishment.
* Flag risks on availability, overstocks, and sell-through, recommending actions to maximise sales.
Digital Content & Optimisation
* Maintain product data, ensuring accuracy across categorisation, navigation, and attributes.
* Work with design and content teams to optimise product presentation and enhance user experience.
Market & Competitor Insights
* Conduct regular competitor benchmarking across pricing, assortment, promotions, and UX.
* Research digital retail and customer trends to inform trading decisions.
Skills & Experience
* 4+ years' experience in ecommerce, merchandising, or digital trading (sports or fashion brand experience preferred).
* Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and reporting capability.
* Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, or Hybris).
* Proficient in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
* Understanding of SEO, paid media, and conversion optimisation.
* Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
