Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships
Location: Old Street, London (Hybrid, at least 40% office based)
Salary: £61,126 – £64,340 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week/ Full-Time
Role Overview:
At Speech and Language UK, we believe every child should be able to face the future with confidence. We’re looking for a strategic and relationship-driven fundraising leader to join us as Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing team, including Trusts and Corporate fundraisers, to exceed income targets.
* Relationship Development: Cultivate long-term relationships with institutional and philanthropic funders to secure high-value gifts and sustainable income.
* Bid Writing & Fundraising: Research and submit compelling funding applications, tenders, and proposals to trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies.
* Partnership Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to develop consortium bids and funding opportunities.
* Project & Budget Management: Oversee fundraising budgets and ensure projects are aligned with strategic goals and deliver full-cost recovery.
* Monitoring & Reporting: Track performance metrics, manage income/expenditure records, and produce timely financial and narrative reports.
* Team Development: Recruit, coach, and develop the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team, fostering a collaborative and goal-focused culture.
