About the role
Join our dynamic team of skilled mechanical & electrical engineers and maintenance pros, keeping our fleet moving safely. If you're a hands-on problem-solver looking to grow your skills and build a long-term career, this Mechanic role could be the perfect fit. The successful Mechanic will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
2. Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
3. Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable
4. Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
5. Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.
Working hours: Alternating shifts
6. weekends, 06:00 - 14:00 (2 in 4 off)
7. mid-week 07:00 - 16:30, and 06:00 - 15:30
Hourly Pay rate: £20.50 p/hour

About you
8. Do you have at minimum a Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent qualification as a mechanic and experience working on HG, bus or coach?
9. Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
10. A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this)
11. Do you have a valid UK driver's licence?
12. Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV)
13. Do you have vehicle/auto electrical experience/knowledge?
