About the role
We are seeking a versatile, hands-on Lead Product Designer to join our consultancy. This role is ideal for someone with a strong consultancy background, preferably in fintech or financial services, who can work across the full project lifecycle, from discovery and research through experience strategy, product thinking, and hands-on design execution, for our clients in financial services and fintech.
You will shape experience strategy and product solutions for our clients, translate them into actionable user journeys, define interaction patterns and flows, support research activities, and design polished, functional interfaces that are both user-friendly and business-ready.
The role requires someone who can both think strategically and execute hands-on. You won’t simply execute specifications; you’ll be here to define what experiences get built, to understand why and to ensure you get your team and stakeholders with you on the way. And to ensure experiences you deliver are effective, cohesive, and truly impactful.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Product Designer, you combine hands-on design expertise with a strategic, consultancy mindset. You will bring clarity to complex challenges, translate insights into practical, product-informed solutions, and shape experiences for our clients that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
You will work closely with strategists, product leads, researcher, and client stakeholders to create useful, differentiated digital experiences and guide them through to delivery.
* Define and shape experience strategy for client projects, translating it into actionable user journeys and interactions
* Lead UX and UI design, defining interaction patterns, flows, and polished interfaces for client products and services
* Conduct user research to inform and validate design and product decisions for client solutions
* Define and produce content to support user journeys and business goals in client-facing experiences
* Own client projects end-to-end, leading workstreams and managing client relationships as needed, with support from the Director
* Ensure consistency, quality, and cohesion across client work
* Contribute to the evolution of the design and product practice within the consultancy
Skills/Experience
You are a strategic thinker and a hands-on designer who thrives in client-facing consultancy work, particularly in financial services or fintech. You combine strong design and product skills with the ability to guide clients, lead teams, and translate complex challenges into clear, effective, and impactful solutions. You are comfortable across the full project lifecycle and enjoy balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
* Exceptional hands-on experience in experience strategy, UX, UI, research, content, and product thinking for client-facing projects
* Consultancy experience, preferably in fintech or financial services, with demonstrated ability to deliver across the full project lifecycle, from discovery to execution of design and product solutions
* Familiarity with service design tools and methods, including journey mapping, service blueprinting, conceptual design, and problem framing
* Strong communication, storytelling, and writing skills for client-facing and public-facing materials
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Demonstrated ability to support and guide teams and client interactions effectively.
* Nice to have: experience leading content work and guiding copy across client projects
