The role requires the person to be in the office 3 days per week at our Watford office ROLE PURPOSE: As part of the QA/ Test enablement team this role will lead the test activities for projects that span across multiple product functions including Digital, Retail, Data and Balancing This role will work closely with vendors to assure the full scope of testing across the software development lifecycle. This role forms part of the QA/ Test enablement team, who operate as a ‘Centre of Excellence’, providing testing services across agile and end-to end teams. Building a team that aspires to excellence, collaboration and continuous learning, ensuring the integrity and reliability of all lottery systems is a key part of this role HOW YOU WILL DO THIS: As a Test Manager, you will work closely with other Test Managers within the product functions and the wider Test enablement teams devising the end-to-end test strategy for a variety of projects You will be responsible for the implementation of Test Strategies for a variety of projects, ensuring testing happens as early as possible within the software development lifecycle working with various vendors to achieve this You will be responsible for the co-ordination of a variety of projects that may have multiple integration dependencies across different product portfolios, You will be responsible for all Project Test Reporting including the delivery of Quality KPI’s to track progress and quality You will be an advocate of change, driving continuous improvements and innovative ways to test to improve product quality and speed to market e.g. implementation of AI strategies Ability to right size the resource requirements to support project demands Line management and mentorship, building a team culture based on transparency and trust Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with internal and external management teams KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS: Ability to provide ‘real time’ test progress reporting to show the status of a given project and the ability to predict quality trends Ability to implement and roll out the Test Strategies/ Test Plans for a variety of different projects Team engagement scores, driving a culture of ownership and empowerment and a place in which team members want to work Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with internal and external management teams KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Demonstratable test management experience Experience in the implementation of Quality KPI’s, measuring quality, progress and the ability to predict quality trends You can prioritise and focus on ‘what matters’, whilst under pressure Strong, engaging stakeholder management skills across internal and external teams Experience of cultivating a high performing test/QA team, leading by example Our goal is to create one of the UK’s most inclusive organisations – where people can bring the best of themselves, to do their best work, every day, for the benefit of good causes.
