What you’ll be responsible for
As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for:
* Working safely at all times
* Driving and operating Bio-solids tankers and ancillary equipment to remove Bio-solids from wastewater treatment works and deliver to reception centres
* Collaborating with Bio-solids Schedulers and Supervisors to ensure timely collections and reporting any issues
* Conducting routine daily checks on tankers to comply with Road Traffic Act and Welsh Water Operator Licence requirements
* Performing daily and weekly checks for roadworthiness and recording driving hours accurately
* Reporting and recording defects promptly, including recording nil defects
* Recording quantities, types, and destinations of Bio-solids transported, complying with legislation and IMS procedures

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Understanding of high-performance team dynamics
* HGV Class 1 driving licence
* Responsibility and adherence to procedures in the field
* Knowledge of IT systems like Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with PDA and handheld devices
* Ability to travel within the operating area
* Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality
* Adaptability to changing priorities
* Ability to build positive working relationships and represent the company credibly
Good to know
A valid HGV Class 1 licence is essential. Interviews scheduled for 14th July. The role involves 48 hours/week: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:00pm (4 x 10-hour shifts), Friday 6:00am-2:00pm (8-hour shift). Overtime may be available.
