This role reports to the Head of DSO Network Strategy and is based in our London office. It is a permanent position.
Salary will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience, with a bonus of 10%. After a 6-month probation, blended working arrangements (3 days in-office, 2 remote) are available.

Company Context
UK Power Networks has established the first independent DSO, leading decarbonisation through innovation and customer-led flexibility. Recognized first in Ofgem's DSO Incentive, we aim to excel in customer service and industry leadership.
Role Purpose
Oversee development and delivery of load analysis, forecasting for regulatory submissions, and support UKPN's DSO commitments. Lead a team of engineers and analysts to coordinate on network development and industry engagement.
Main Responsibilities
1. Deliver UKPN's regulatory submissions, including LTDS, PLE, and Network Development Plan.
2. Develop and maintain UKPN's Strategic Forecasting System (SFS).
3. Collaborate with local and regional teams to incorporate insights into forecasts and planning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years in relevant work-streams.
Knowledge & Skills
* Understanding of power systems, distribution and transmission networks, regulatory frameworks.
* Experience with power system modelling (e.g., PowerFactory).
* Stakeholder engagement skills and ability to manage teams and budgets.
* Experience supporting net zero initiatives and energy transition.

* Strong communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
* Innovative mindset with continuous improvement focus.
