We’re looking for an experienced and values-driven Head of Clinical Services to provide senior leadership to our growing counselling services. This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for clinical governance, safeguarding, service quality and strategic oversight, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centred therapeutic interventions that meet the needs of individuals, communities and funders. You will shape and develop counselling services in line with organisational strategy, regulatory requirements and best practice, while fostering a culture where staff are supported to develop their skills, confidence and careers. You will lead clinical decision-making, risk management, and safeguarding in line with statutory requirements and the BACP Ethical Framework, while ensuring effective clinical supervision and maintaining BACP service accreditation. You will oversee referrals, waiting lists, service delivery, and outcome evaluation, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement. We’re looking for someone with a recognised qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology or related discipline and professional accreditation. Significant experience of managing clinical services, people and resources is required along with strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and quality assurance. The ability to lead, influence and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders is essential along with a commitment to continuous improvement, staff development and values-led leadership.
