Shift Options: 4 on / 4 off (days & nights) OR Days Only
Salary: £56,000 – £59,000
Days only: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience)
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team within a fully automated, 24/7 food manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role working with modern production technology where you'll play a key part in maintaining performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across site operations.
Whether you prefer a shift-based role with enhanced earning potential or a more traditional days-only pattern, both options are available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across production equipment
* Support production during start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
* Diagnose faults using control systems and data (including PLCs)
* Work across processing, packaging, bulk handling, and site services
* Identify and implement improvements to improve efficiency and reliability
* Support energy reduction, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with production, hygiene, and safety teams
What We're Looking For
* Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, Degree or equivalent)
* Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or automated environments
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (electrical and mechanical)
* Understanding of health & safety legislation (e.g. PUWER; IOSH desirable)
* A proactive approach with the ability to anticipate and solve problems
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
