Junior Accountant
Manchester, M2
* Full time, 40 hours per week
* Up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience
* Permanent position

The Role
We're seeking a Junior Accountant who is passionate about numbers and eager to develop their skills in an accounting practice environment. Working closely with our finance team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing revenue streams, invoicing, and accrued revenue postings
* Performing credit control functions.
* Maintaining expenditure records and coding invoices accurately.
* Posting payments and receipts, organising, and filing invoices.
* Assisting the team with month-end processes.
* Performing account and bank reconciliations.
* Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.

The Ideal Candidate

* A desire to complete ACCA/ACA/CIMA or a similar qualification
* Some experience or knowledge gained within an accountancy practice
* A keen attitude for learning and growing your expertise

* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
* Good presentation and communication skills
* Intermediate/Advanced level Microsoft Office skills
* Exceptional attention to detail and a pragmatic mindset

* A collaborative spirit, building strong internal and external relationships
* A natural tendency to challenge the status quo and find innovative solutions
